Requesting! Calling all INTERESTED for Moderating!
Attention all lovers of Studio Ghibli and Hidden By Gods.
As you all are probably aware, though our game is small, we, the moderators sill have a legitimate, time-consuming job to do to make sure everyone is enjoying themselves and having a good time in an orderly fashion. But even mods have lives that sometimes can whisk them away without warning. We first apologise for our nearly absence the past couple of weeks. It has come to our attention that Hidden By Gods. needs a little more attention that what we, the current mods, can handle alone.
In light of this, please welcome D.memori_iluzio | 「![[plurk.com profile]](https://plurk.com/favicon.ico)
memori_iluzio」 on as a Head Moderator.
We must unfortunately also announce that both Lucyred_queen | 「vitalstar」 and Taisa silentdrifterz | 「silentdrifterz」, due to real life circumstances, have dropped from Hidden By Gods and dropped as moderators.
Information on Moderator openings:
Would you like to be a moderator? Well, here's the chance! What we are looking for are two or three (2 — 3) new Assistant Moderators.
Moderator Applications will be open from June 28th to July 15th.
Head Moderators deal with player questions on AIM, plurk, the mod contact page, the FAQ page, and setting up dates for events, applications, and reserves. Head Mods are also in charges made to the game. Head Moderators also contribute to all other duties that generally Assistant Mods are in charge of.
Assistant Moderators deal with updating the reserves page, the rooming page, and the shop page. Those comfortable with answering FAQ, mod contact, questions on AIM or plurk may also do so. Assist Mods also help with plotting.
All moderators are required to read each and every application received. Assistant Moderators are allowed to accept apps, but must first run it by one of the Head Moderators.
The application is as follows:
Name/Nickname: What do you want us to call you?
Age: Must be 18 years of age or older
Dreamwidth Username: If you don’t have one just just put N/A
Contact: AIM/Plurk/Email/etc. Moderators must have an AIM and plurk.
Current Characters in Game:
Why do you wish to become a Moderator?:
If not in-game, do you plan on applying this application round or the next?:
Do you have any prior experience as a Moderator?:
Will you be available during our general reserves dates and applications date?: If you don't have the time to be on AIM/plurk/email, this unfortunately is not a job for you.
Are you comfortable with handling disputes? Working on applications?: A friendly and positive attitude is realistically what players hope to find when they come to the mod team for questions and concerns. Having good communication skills with both players and the other moderators will be key. You will have to be able to invest both attitude and time into being a Mod.
Are you comfortable working on applications which canons you are unfamiliar with?:
Are you comfortable working on applications of which are from canons to be released at a later date in official English?: This will be a case-by-case for assistant moderators, because we are aware not everyone likes spoilers. If you are highly uncomfortable reading an app of a specific series that will soon be released in English. you may state so. It will not effect the applications process, however, we're just curious.
How many Ghibli films have you seen? Please list each: It is required that you have seen Spirited Away and understand how the world of the movie works. As each new world opens up, however, please keep in mind that you will be asked to watch the movie that corresponds with said world. We aren't trying to push anyone away interested in becoming a mod, but given how heavily the overall game falls on these movies, it is a pleasure to have seen most of the films for moderators.
