Event + Annoucements

hiddenbymodsHello everybody! We made it through the first month and now it’s time for our first event!
Earlier this month there was a festival in Japan called Hinamatsuri, otherwise known as The Doll Festival or Girl’s Day! To celebrate this event families placed Hina Dolls sets in their home, these dolls were said to possess the power to draw in evil spirits as well as sickness and bad luck that might harm the daughters and their families.
After the festivals, the dolls are set afloat in rivers to be carried away. And well, all rivers have to lead to somewhere you know. That somewhere just happens to be the bathhouse.
That’s right folks, when your character wakes up on the morning of the 25th - 30th hina dolls will be floating all around the ocean of the bath house. The dolls are possessed by evil spirits, and the only way the spirits can be set free from these physical barriers is to enter the bathhouse and be cleansed. And well, Yubaba doesn’t want that.
There are too many dolls for the Guardians to deal with, so the bathhouse is closed until the event is over with and everyone is expected to help destroy these dolls. Everyone will be given a torch to set the dolls on fire; the fire will destroy the evil spirits as well as the dolls. Characters be careful with the torches though! There will be no ill effects of a character being harmed from the torch besides the regular fact that you will be burned. The person who destroys the most dolls will be given a reward; a memory or one of their personal items.
Don’t think the dolls are helpless though! These dolls have magical powers that will affect the people that try to fight them.
Samurai and Archers: They become life size. Be prepared for a fight!
Musicians: They have power over sound and sound waves. If you get to close to them they might make your ears bleed.
Court Ladies: They each hold a cup of sake. Be careful, if this sake touches you, you become shit faced drunk.
Emperor: Whoever looks him in the eye is instantly brainwashed to defend him.
Empress: Whoever touches her is turned into a doll.
As far as the event goes, everyone will go to a RNG or choose a number 1-100. Whoever gets the number the mods are thinking of wins! So go ahead and comment here with your numbers and get to setting some dolls on fire!
Additional announcements: The taken list has been broken down into two separate posts, while the profile(s) and main navigation link to the main post where you will receive the code to fill out for your character's respective list. If we are missing anyone or information from anyone, please tell us here! We also have the wanted list now available for commenting to. As a note, the Applications page will be moving before apps open. We will make an announcement about it beforehand though, so be on the lookout for that! A calendar is also in the process of being made.

As a final note, we've noticed that those of you who have us added individually on our personal plurks (and/or also have the mod plurk added) have been calling out the mods sometimes with the
or just in general with no heading. We just ask that you either reference us each individually together or reference the mod plurk with an @plurkname, or private plurk us each individually together or private plurk the mod plurk so that we get a notification to the emails. That way, we will be able to respond in a much more timely manner. Thank you!
